Participants will learn how to build simple android apps, using a development tool called “MIT App Inventor 2”. You can bring your own android phone or tablet, or you can use the android emulator if you don’t have an Android device.

But what is data visualization? Join Joe Ryan, Research Visualization Engineer at DU’s Center for Statistics and Visualization, and learn a brief history of – and introduction to – data visualization, followed by a discussion of where data visualization can best help you with your research.

Broad overviews of major Drupal features
• How content can be reused in blocks
• How modules increase functionality
The large number of modules to choose from
• Examples of library-specific modules
• Examples of not-library-specific modules that are used by libraries
