DU has a new website called DU VideoCast, a 3-year project to organize and share DU videos. Former students from the LIS program (Eric Hackett, Dina Hornreich, Vivienne Houghton and Joshua Davies) played a big role in this project with metadata schema design, cataloging and information architecture.
“We describe the website as a library collection of DU videos related to research, community events and creative works. Many DU public events are in our database so people can now watch an event if they missed it. We think many videos in the collection have educational and marketing value. ” says Alex Martinez, Senior Educational Web Developer at the Office of Teaching and Learning.
